Embracing the paradoxical feeling when people attempt to be optimistic, despite circumstances that make it nearly impossible. The situation is so dire that, in reality, you’re suffering inside, yet optimism prevails. It’s in these moments that a fleeting thought arises, momentarily evoking the sensation of being deceived, intensifying the feeling of suffering. I conducted this experiment to articulate this particular feeling.
